Terms of Use

This document sets out the general contractual framework that applies between us when you use the certification, inspection, testing and training services provided by ASIS UK Inspection and Certification Ltd.

Parties and Definitions

These Terms of Use apply between ASIS UK Inspection and Certification Ltd (whose details are stated above) and the natural or legal person ('Customer') benefitting from our services. A separate offer acceptance document or service agreement is issued for each engagement; if there is any conflict, the bilateral agreement prevails over these Terms.

  • Company: ASIS UK INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATION LTD (registered in England and Wales, No. 16938878)
  • Customer: the legal entity or individual benefitting from our services through offer acceptance or a signed agreement
  • Service: activities provided under certification, inspection, testing, training and consultancy
  • Report / Certificate: written or digital deliverables we issue as a result of the service

Subject and Scope

The subject of the agreement is the provision of services by the Company to the Customer in return for the agreed fee. The technical scope, the standards applied and the deliverables for each service are detailed in the offer acceptance document or service agreement.

Conditions for Service Delivery

We deliver our services in accordance with the relevant national and international standards and recognised good practice.

  • Requests outside our technical capability or scope may be declined.
  • When standards are updated, our procedures are revised in line with the standards then in force.
  • We may engage third-party subcontractors during service delivery, subject to prior notice to the Customer.

Fees, Liability and Confidentiality

Fees, payment terms and the allocation of liability are governed by the relevant service agreement. We maintain the confidentiality of information provided to us and disclose it only where required by law or with your consent. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them.
